Of course, as a fairly inactive participant, I do not have a holistic sufficient understanding of the game to suggest some reasonable ways of doing that. There are methods to eliminate cash that have been around for OSRS gold years, such as the sawmill, shops, etc.. They commanded inflation pretty well from 2001-2009. Evidently it isn't enough, however. Maybe the shops' selections and prices should be adjusted in order to promote more spending (like real stores, lol).

Maybe the amount of gold dropped by animals must be nerfed, low as it may already be. Also, I might be mistaken, but perhaps things seem to be moving worse today because the inflation rate is inherently exponential, whereas one's rate of acquiring GP is not. What are your guys' proudest in-game accomplishment(s)? Something which you felt fantastic after you realized it. It can be anything, such as obtaining a level, a comp cape, killing a supervisor, a community entity, etc..

Mine would probably be 99 Defense. It had been in my list because of the significance of defense in tanking. I have not had members because 2006 so I needed to complete it in freeplay obviously, that was murder. During the summers I would play for 1.5-2 hours each day to get 50k defense encounter. Even though it was a brief time period, it had been such a pain to log in and get that because I wasn't really interested in the match at the point.

What saved me was the reintroduction of this wilderness in 2011 and much more importantly the shunning of Revenants into a dungeon. It allowed me to AFK at Ice Warriors in the wilderness to the 50k xp per day I got in the summertime since players never frequented the spot. Still took a few years though since I couldn't will myself to log in for more than two hours, even AFK.

Ironically, shortly after I achieved 99 Defense EOC came out and murdered clanning, so that I have never been able to tank along with my 99 defense. The previous time I awakened was a fun war involving Sals Realm and some other clan, in which point I was 98 Defense.

Honorable mentions: I headed a clan back in the afternoon, somewhat proud of cheap RS gold that (though I had been far from a perfect leader.) My first 99, firemaking. I'm proud that I stuck through it and didn't give up. I had a knack for performing well in Sals steel war items and snowball fights (air attack struggles ). Probably because I had been a top level but never the highest level, since the maximum level was constantly piled first. Enough of me, I'd like to hear yours.
