WoW Players demand removal of NPCs named in honor of former director Named In Lawsuit

World of Warcraft players are calling for the removal of two NPCs named after former WoW creator Alex Afrasiabi to be removed from the game. This follows explicit references to Afrasiabi's alleged pattern of harassment against female workers in a recent lawsuit filed by the state's Department of Fair Employment and Housing against Activision Blizzard.

Afrasiabi was fired unceremoniously from Blizzard on the summer break of 2020. He is also the sole individual named directly in the State of California's lawsuit relating to allegations of sexual harassment. The lawsuit asserts that he frequently smack female employees by attempting to kiss them and place an arm around them.
