The week before, 2K Games unveiled four new units, including the four Galaxy Opals and four Dark Matters NBA MT Coins. This new NBA 2K22 Takeoff Series 4 Pack was unveiled in conjunction with Second Round of the Playoffs Agenda and immediately became an instant hit with the player base because of the specific models involved.

The much-anticipated Clutch Time Wheel received an update, featuring new units that players can get and collect. Players can now acquire 96-overall Pink Diamond Michael Redd, 97-overall Galaxy Opal Reggie Lewis, over-all Galaxy Opal Shawn Kemp, and 99-overall Dark Matter Albert King.

At his height, King is right up with the best small forwards in NBA 2K22 and will be the top choice for the Clutch Time Wheel. Lewis was a dominant player in the mid-80s through early-90s as was Kemp through the 90s and Red in the beginning of 2000s. These four players are not by themselves in the most recent update of NBA 2K22 since Invincible Shaquille O'Neal in addition to Galaxy Opal Grant Hill join alongside.
