The Executive Director of GrowingChurches.Org is the Rev. Dr. Brian J. Fraser. For more than 25 years, he has been a leading scholar, teacher, and practitioner of leadership in the North American church. He is an ordained minister of The Presbyterian Church in Canada.

He earned a PhD in Canadian history at York University and has taught and lectured in universities and theological colleges across Canada. His primary field of research is leadership and organizational cultures. He has authored 10 books, written 30 articles for professional and popular journals, and coordinated a major study of the history and practice of leadership in The Presbyterian Church in Canada.

After a successful parish ministry in a Presbyterian congregation in downtown Toronto, he became Dean of St. Andrew's Hall, the Presbyterian college at the University of British Columbia, and Professor of History at Vancouver School of Theology in 1985. He helped lead both of these organizations into new and productive improvements in their service to their constituents.

He left St. Andrew's and VST in 2001 to found GrowingChurches.Org and Jazzthink. He completed his graduate certificate in executive coaching at Royal Roads University in 2002. He currently sits on the Board of the Vancouver Chapter of the International Coach Federation. He is a member of the Alliance for Nonprofit Management and has served on their McAdam Book Award Jury for six years. He works closely with Volunteer Vancouver, is a mentoring associate with Executive Consulting for the Nonprofit Sector Inc., and is an active member of the British Columbia Organizational Development Network.

Dr. Fraser applies all of his seasoned experience to the task of provoking your potential in Christ. He is convinced that each congregation and church agency has a unique calling and is blessed with the gifts to exercise that calling, if only they can appreciate and align those gifts. That is what his leadership coaching is designed to – help you appreciate and align your gifts to realize your potential in Christ.
